    This Proclamation provides rules for the administration and functioning of Addis Ababa City. The Proclamation defines the objectives, functions and powers of the city administration and provides with respect to its organization. It may, among other things, set and collect land use fees and royalties for the use of forest resources in the city and levy taxes on incomes from agricultural activities in the City. "Municipal service" shall include water and sewerage service, land development and management and sanitation. There shall be a Urban Land Clearance Appeals Commission.

    This Proclamation of the Afar National Regional State establishes a rural land administration system that is suitable for natural resource management and protection and that incentivizes investment within the traditional clan-based communal land tenure system. Laws that pertain to lands designated as forest lands, wildlife sanctuaries, biodiversity protected lands, environmental and natural resource conservation and preservation areas shall not be affected by this Proclamation. The Proclamation, among other things: provides for survey, registration, certification etc.

    This Proclamation amends the Authentication and Registration of Documents' Proclamation so as to, among other things: require the Notary Offices established in Addis Ababa and Dire Daws cities to perform their functions under the directions of the Ministry of Justice; define regulation-making powers of Regional states in respect of regional notary offices and related matters in their respective regions and the Council of Ministers with respect to Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa cities.

    This Proclamation provides for the registration of documents. It shall apply to documents authenticated and registered by organs of the Regional Government authorized by respective Regional laws and other specified state organs. The Proclamation, among other things, defines notarial activities and duties of notaries. It also specifies documents that shall not have legal effect unless they are authenticated and registered. Regional authorities shall establish notary offices and there shall be federal notary offices in n Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa.

    This Proclamation of the Benishangul Gumz Regional State shall apply to any rural land found in the region. It mainly is concerned with land rights land use and administration of rural lands. Land is declared the common property of the state and people and it shall not be subjected to sale or other means of exchange. Any peasant who legally resides in the region shall have the right to hold land irrespective of gender or any other discrimination. Land administration shall be implemented through community participation. Rural land shall not be expropriated unless to use for public services.

Each Region or City shall keep a register of business mortgages.     This Proclamation provides rules relative to the establishment, registration and administration of condominium and related rights. The condominium shall be administered on the basis of a unit owners association, i.e. an association established with a view to obtaining mutual benefits for unit owners other than securing or sharing of profits. Two or more unit owners associations may amalgamate by registering with the registrar the Declaration, description, by-laws and rules for the amalgamated association.
