    This Order specifies in the Schedule fees to be charged and taken by the Property Registration Authority (established under section 9 of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006) for a service provided in the Land Registry. No registration shall be made and no other transaction shall be done or completed until: (a) the appropriate fee has been paid to the Authority, or (b) the Authority is satisfied that arrangements for the payment of the appropriate fee have been made.

    These Regulations amend the Land Registration Rules 1972 by, among other things: inserting a new Rule (46A) on registration of rights to an easement or profit à prendre on the basis that the relevant requirements set out in sections 33 to 38 of the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009; prescribing new forms in relation to the insertion of Rule 46A.

    These Regulations consolidate and revoke the Land Registration Rules 1972. They define the contents of registers in which land title rights shall be registered. The registers shall consist of information required by the Registration of Deeds and Title Acts 1964 and 2006 and these Rules to be recorded in respect of each ownership registered under those Acts. They also, among other things, provide in respect of registry offices, procedures of registration, effect of registration, transmission on death, dealings with registered property and other matters regarding rights affecting land.

    These Rules amend the Land Registration Rules 2012: on the acquisition of easements and profits by prescription (rule 46); in the provisions for the registration of judgment mortgages pursuant to Section 116 of the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009, to specifically include judgments of the Supreme Court, provide for the registration of judgment mortgages in execution of judgments of the courts of Member States of the European Community; add new Forms 60A and 60B to the Schedule; modify Forms 3, 17, 37, 38, 39, 64, 84 and 96.

    These Regulations grant to the Registrar the right to dispense with the official examination of the title and to register the statutory authority with absolute title or good leasehold title on production of a certificate by the solicitor for such authority, subject to conditions and in circumstances as prescribed in regulation 4. The registration shall be as in Form 3 adapted as the case may require.
