    Dominant arguments about women’s land access stress the vulnerability of single women’s land rights in customary tenure areas. The vulnerability is based on long-held assumptions about customary tenure land governance, land use and gender relations. The paper seeks to contribute to the debate on customary tenure area land access, landlessness and understanding customary tenure evolution. Although single women have increasingly insecure tenure on customary tenure lands, in those systems spaces exist for single women to negotiate access to land.

    This publication contains the major highlights of the Land Watch Asia's "Regional Workshop on Land Monitoring Initiatives: Towards an Accountable Governance on Land" held in Manila, Philippines on 21-22 April 2015. These include the land monitoring country reports (in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, and Philippines) prepared by Land Watch Asia campaign using the Land Reform Monitoring Framework, which was its landmark contribution towards assessing land issues across the region.

    This toolbox is based on materials developed for the International Land Coalition's project in Eastern and Southern Africa entitled "Securing Women's Access to Land: Linking Research and Action". The core of this project was action-oriented research carried out by partners in seven countries with a view to using research results in advocacy. The capacity-building activities to support partners included advocacy workshops on which this toolbox is based.

The advocacy toolbox guides researchers and activists to walk through steps in identifying and analyzing needs, structural constraints and strategies specific to locale and context. The process includes assistance in evaluating objectives and assessing the impact of interventions. It furthers effective policy proposals, possible solutions and systemic change.

La minería y la expansión de los cultivos son las mayores amenazas para los pastizales, que se derivan de la afección a de corredores de movilidad, el acaparamiento de tierras y la marginación de los pastores.
