    This Act provides administration arrangements for the city of Kampala and provides with respect to its development, physical planning. It establishes the Capital City Authority and the Metropolitan Physical Planning Authority. The Minister may, in consultation with the Authority and with the approval of Cabinet, establish divisions within the Capital City and alter the boundaries of those divisions. The Capital City shall have the lower urban councils under the Authority: (a) Division urban councils; (b) ward urban councils; and (c) village urban councils.

En effet, est géomètre expert le technicien, exerçant une profession libérale qui, en son propre nom et sous sa responsabilité personnelle, effectue les études topographiques et les opérations topographiques foncières notamment: bornage, fixation des limites des biens et de leur consistance, établissement d’un plan régulier, lotissement, évaluation immobilière, expertise judiciaire.

    This Act provides for the establishment of the Protected Areas Commission, the Protected Areas Trust and a Trust Fund and empowers the Minister to declare national protected areas. It applies to the territorial sea, exclusive economic zone, fishery zone and continental shelf as defined in the Maritime Zones Act 2010. The Act alos provides with respect to the National Protected Areas System and allows village councils to apply to the Commission for village lands or any part thereof to be recognised as an Amerindian protected area.

    The objects of this Act, consisting of 99 sections divided into six Chapters and completed by one Schedule, are: a) to provide rules about each neighbour’s responsibility for dividing fences and for trees so that neighbours are generally able to resolve issues about fences or trees without a dispute arising; and b) to facilitate the resolution of any disputes about dividing fences or trees that do arise between neighbours.
