    This study deals with the women’s right to land ownership. Economic Transformation Initiative, Gilgit-Baltistan (ETI-GB), an ambitious program supported by International Fund for Agricultural Development United Nation (IFAD, UN), aims to reduced poverty and increase income through agricultural development. Strengthen land reforms through land development is one of the core component in the program. This is a pioneer project undergoing in the region. It has been anticipated that this project is a significant development when it comes to land reforms and land policies in GB.

    The webinar An introduction to Prindex took place on 28 November, 2018. This webinar presented a basic understanding of how Prindex works. The Prindex team presented results of data collected from 15 countries.     This guide presents a people-centred gender approach to increase and improve the provision of goods and services from agriculture, forestry and fisheries in a sustainable manner while reducing rural poverty. It first introduces the proposed approach for improving gender equality in territorial issues, with specific guidance for each phase of the gender-response planning process. Then, it presents some available participatory tools to support planning of gender-responsive territorial development.

    Este estudo tem como objetivo discutir a violência contra a mulher entre moradoras de um assentamento rural de reforma agrária, as peculiaridades da violência, bem como as formas de suporte e apoio social. A violência contra a mulher constitui um problema de saúde pública, agravando-se no contexto rural, o qual é organizado segundo uma divisão tradicional de papéis de gênero. Trata-se de um estudo com abordagem qualitativa e como ferramenta se utilizou a entrevista semiestruturada. Participaram da pesquisa 9 mulheres maiores de 18 anos moradoras de um assentamento rural.

    Brief highlights key attributes of national constitutions, laws, and regulations that play a fundamental role in protecting indigenous and rural women’s rights to community forests and other community lands. These legislative best practices were derived from a 2017 analysis of over 400 national laws and regulations, Power and Potential, which evaluates the extent to which women’s rights to community forests are recognized by national law in 30 low- and middle-income countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
