    This Act provides for certain conditions regarding occupation of land by the State and other occupiers and the change in the form of title in land by mutual consent and surrender or abandon such land by the owner. It the stipulates that the owner of any immovable property or any person authorized to act on his behalf in the matter may apply to the Registrar of Deeds for the alteration, suspension, or removal of any condition or covenant registered against the title affecting the use or occupation of the property.

    These Regulations, made under the Tribal Land Act, concern the administration of tribal land and related matters.The Regulations provide for the constitution and abolition of Land Board Offices by the Director appointed under the Act and for the establishment of Land boards consultative committees in each land board. They also establish the Land Board (Joint Staff Consultative) Council and provide for other matters relating to the administration of land boards.

    These Rules prescribe the form of a notice requiring either the attendance of any person as a witness before a Board of Assessment or to produce any document before the the Board, and provide for the procedure of delivery of such notice. They also stipulate that, except as otherwise provided by the Act or any rule made at any time under section 31(1) thereof, the proceedings before the Board shall be conducted in accordance with the practice and procedure observed in the High Court in its civil jurisdiction with such variations as circumstances may require.

    This Act makes provision for various matters relating to the activity of exploration and exploitation of petroleum resources in Botswana including licensing, control, surface rights, survey of wells, protection of the environment and compulsory acquisition of land.The Act sets out criteria and conditions for the granting of an exploration or a development licence. The Minister may enter into an agreement with a (potential) licence holder. A registered holder of an exploration licence shall notify the Minister on the discovery of petroleum in an exploration area.

    This Act vests specified land in the National Railways of Zimbabwe for railway purposes. If at any time the Company or its successor ceases to hold for railway purposes any portion of either of the said areas, the President may give notice to the Company or its successor to re-transfer according to law within a given time the whole or part of the land. If the Company does not comply with the notice, the land shall be transferred by deed of the Registration Officer upon the certificate of the President that such notice has not been complied with.

    This Act makes provision for local administration in Botswana by giving the power to the Minister to create townships and cities and to provide for administration of such areas and powers and duties of city and town councils and other public bodies. Townships are created wholly or partly within any Tribal Territory as defined in the Tribal Territories Act or within the limits of farms known as the Barolong Farms.

    This Act regulates the construction and maintenance of fences dividing adjoining farms, i.e. pieces of land registered as a farm in the Deeds Registry. The owners of adjoining farms not divided by a sufficient fence or by some other feature which is capable of preventing the trespass of animals that should be impounded, shall be liable to contribute in equal proportions to the construction between those farms of a dividing fence.
