    This Act, consisting of 411 articles divided into 27 Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the Local Government. It specifies implementation of government affairs which will be carried out by the local government as well as related legislation according to the principles of autonomy and assistance with the broad autonomy within the system and the principles of the Republic of Indonesia as defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Year 1945.

    This Act regulates the underwriting of land in relation with the settlement of debts. Article 4 defines the rights on land that may be underwritten. Article 5 provides for priority of underwriting rights, the right follows the object of underwriting. Articles 10 to 19 provide for procedures of establishment, registration, transfer and abolishment of underwriting rights. Articles 20 and 21 concern the execution of an underwriting right. Article 22 concerns deletion of the right from registration in the land book. (31 articles)

    This manual provides a comprehensive set of criteria and indicators (C&I) for sustainable forest management based on CIFOR’s research. This research was conducted by interdisciplinary teams of experts in large-scale natural forests managed for commercial timber production in Indonesia, Côte d’Ivoire, Brazil and Cameroon, with additional sites in Germany, Austria and USA. The use of the term ‘generic template’ for these C&I is intended to prevent them being confused with an ideal and universally applicable set of C&I.
