    This Order, made under section 12 of the Public Trustee Act, specifies the fees shall be charged in respect of the duties of the Public Trustee, provides for the calculation of such fees and provides for settlement of disputes regarding the duty to pay fees. Fees that shall be charged in respect of the duties of the Public Trustee are: (a) an acceptance fee; (b) an administration fee; (c) a withdrawal fee; (d) fees for special services.

    These Rules implement provisions of the Public Trustee Act with respect to, among other things: trusts that the Public Trustee may accept; other duties and functions of the Public Trustee; appointment of the Public Trustee by a testator; application for administration of small estates; acceptance or refusal of administration of small estates; registers to be kept by the Public Trustee; obtaining an opinion of the Supreme Court in matters of administration; and investigations.

    This Act establishes periods of limitation and other limitations for bringing actions of the various classes mentioned in the Act. Section 42 extends the applicability of the Act also to arbitration. Actions include various actions in respect of land: actions to recover land by the Crown or any person and rent; action to recover money secured by a mortgage or charge or to recover proceeds of the sale of land; and actions in respect of trust property or the personal estate of deceased persons and actions for an account.

    These Rules, made under section 11 of the Commonage Act, concern commoners in the Savannah Sound area. The Rules require commoners to register with the Commissioner and specify conditions for registration as a commoner and the application for land by a commoner. The Rules also, among other things: regulate elections and meetings of commoners; provide rules regarding the setting of fire to land; provide for resolution of disputes between commoners in relating to the use of land by the Land Policy Committee; and secure free access to water resources by commoners.

    These Regulations implement provisions of the Emergency Relief Guarantee Fund Act, which establishes an Emergency Relief Fund and grants powers to the Minister to guarantee loans extended by approved lenders. The Regulations concern, among other things: the application for a guaranteed loan; agreement by borrower with the approved lender in the form ERG-4 specified in the Schedule in case a borrower does not possess documentary title of property securing an already approved loan; other matters regarding the securing of loans; and repayment of loans.

The Rules: allow a commoner to take up abandoned land of another commoner for cultivation; set limits for the proximity of cultivation on land bordering land of another commoner; provide rules for the setting fire to fields and provide for arbitration in case of damage; place restrictions on the sale of land by commoners; require a commoner not to fell more land than he or she is able to cultivate within a year; and secure free access to water resources by commoners.

    This Act makes provision with respect to the registration of specified deeds, documents and other writings including freehold and leasehold grants from the Crown and wills or other testamentary papers.The Act also makes provision for the authentication of such papers and procedures of registration.
