Regulations by the Minister
This Act amends the Zambia Development Agency Act, 2006 so as to provide with respect to "industrial parks" i.e. any area or premises in Zambia that has been declared by the Minister an industrial park under section 18 of the principal Act. Various consequential amendments are made. The Agency shall monitor and evaluate the activities, performance and development of enterprises operating in industrial parks and prescribe and enforce measures, for the business or activity carried out within an industrial park so as to promote the safety and efficiency of its operations.
This Act establishes the National Water Supply and Sanitation Council ("Council") as a body corporate, defines its functions, provides with respect to its administration and provides with respect to water supply and sanitation at a local level by a water supply and sanitation utility established by a local authority or service providers, i.e. any person who provides water supply or sanitation services.
This Act establishes the Zambia Development Agency and the Trade and Industrial Development Fund and makes provision in general for economic development in Zambia. In certain cases, development requires a licence, permit or certificate of registration of the Board of the Agency.
