Study of the effects of land use on water and soil quality change at Kuan Kreng peatlands was divided in 3 parts: water quality, soil quality, and the effects of water and soil quality to utility of people in Kuan Kreng peatlands. The result of the studies found that water quality in Kuan Kreng peatlands had pH, temperature, dissolve oxygen, BOD, and ammonia-nitrogen as between 2.00-5.78, 25.1-28.9 deg C, 8.4-87.0 NTU, 1.1-5.4 mg/l, 2.5-31.1 mg/l and 0.0252-0.1939 mg/l, respectively. While highest phosphate-phosphorus was 0.0752 mg/l and lowest could not be detected.

Study aims to investigate the effects of multi-mixed organic fertilizers on soil chemical properties and asparagus (Brock's Improved) yield and spear quality grown in Kamphaeng Saen soil series. These three fertilizers were the SMB formula, a mixed of biogas sludge (S), cattle manure (M), and oil palm empty fruit bunch (B), the SMC formula, a mixed of biogas sludge (S), cattle manure (M), and rice husk charcoal (C) and the PMP formula, a pig manure pellets. Field experiments were conducted using RCBD experimental design with 8 treatments, and 3 replications.

A study on characteristics and fertility capability of acid sulfate soils under tropical monsoonal climate was carried out on six selected areas in Nakhon Si Thammarat province. Method of study included analysis of soil morphology in the field, laboratory analysis on physicochemical properties and mineralogical characteristics of soil samples according to standard methods and assessment of the soil fertility status and fertility capability. Results of the study revealed that these soils are lowland soils occupying areas ranging from 1 to 5 m above mean sea level.

Study on the genetic bio-diversity of tobacco 39 cultures including Burley tobacco 16 cultivars 15 and 8 local and wild cultivars respectively, was conductive at Maejo University. 20 markers were employed for identification the genetic diversity. The result showed that 13 SSR primers could presented the polymorphic band for 60 alleles, which are average of 3 alleles per SSR primers. The SSR markers showed the difference between allele clearly, They were NBS133, NBS141, NBS148, NBS155 NBS162, NBS173, NBS191, NBS209, NBS226, NBS244, NBS267, NBS271 and NBS329.
