    The purpose of this study is to analyse how to produce a balance between the design and implementation of "green" facilities. It focusses on providing insight into the conditions under which decisions take place, conditions which have to be satisfied if a balance between design and implementation is to be realised and is to influence the way we create and maintain "green" facilities. The study shows that the management of the "green" facilities is indissolubly linked with the design and the implementation.

    Analyzes statistically, results of weighings made on two cattle groups at the Sarite cooperative ranch in the southern rangelands of Ethiopia & used as a fattening area to determine effects of place of origin, herdsmen group and sex (bull or castrate) on initial liveweight, weight gain & performance of animals, their purchase & sales prices and profits realised and calculates optimum liveweights at purchase & sale to maximize profits. Includes recommendations on the basis of the results.

    With the purpose of bringing new ideas to bear on the subject of institutional support to forest policy implementation, a Consultation sponsored by FAO and the Swedish International Development Authority (SIDA) was held at FAO Headquarters in Rome from 2 to 11 February 1983. Twenty-nine participants attended In their individual capacities, drawn from 24 countries of Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America and from a very wide spectrum of disciplines. This issue of Unasylva presents a selection of the papers discussed at the Consultation.
