    This Law is composed of 7 Chapters, 33 articles and 2 Indexes. Preliminary provisions (chap. I)which shall include the following matters: name of the Law; abrogation of Law No. 40 of 1974; and terms and definitions. Establishment of the Project, management of the Administrative Board and functions and duties of the Board are provided for in Chapter II. Nomination of the Commissioner and definition of its duties is dealt in Chapter III. Project's founds; devolution of properties; and land tenure are contained in Chapter IV. Financial provisions are provided for in Chapter V.

    This Agreement consists of 14 articles and it shall be subject to the provisions of Reciprocal Encouragement and Protection of Investment between the two Parts (art. 1). The Government of Sudan shall grant to the Government of Syria a land for exploitation located in Abu Quta-Province Alhsahisa situated in the State of Aljazeera with an area of 30,000 Faddan without any restriction rights (art. 2). The exploitation of the aforementioned land shall be valid for 50 years (art. 3).

    Desertification is nowhere more serious than in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), stretching from Pakistan in the east to Morocco in the west, and from Ethiopia and Sudan in the south to Turkey in the north.     Based on a broad literature review, this publication discusses rural women’s time poverty in agriculture, elaborates on its possible causes and implications and provides insight into the various types of constraints that affect the adoption of solutions for reducing work burden. This paper raises questions about the adequacy of women’s access to technologies, services and infrastructure and about the control women have over their time, given their major contributions to agriculture.
