Search Expert (home-based)

Are you a  search expert with knowledge on SolR?  Are you interested in working with an exciting young organization full of possibilities? The Land Portal is looking for a Search Expert, to begin immediately.


  • In-depth knowledge of search concepts

  • Deep understanding of Semantic Web

  • Experience as a search Developer

  • Have worked on below areas in SOLR:

    • High-complexity integrations of SOLR (Drupal, Virtuoso, others)

    • Filters, Query Parsers and their customization

    • Auto correct

    • Type head

    • Boosting

    • Natural Querying

    • Handle Dynamic Fields

    • Performance Tuning

    • Faceted Search

    • Grouping

    • Automated techniques and processes for the bulk and real-time indexing in Apache SOLR of large-scale data sets

    • Java (for create Indexing and Search API)

    • Exposure to search queries against SOLR indexes using Client API

  • Have exposure to source control tools (preferably GitHub)

  • Experience working with GIS systems and applications (Nice to have)


The Search Expert will be working closely with the Land Portal Web Manager.
