Launch of LIFT’s Knowledge Hub and Interactive Results Map | Land Portal

Originally shared via newsletter from the Land Investment for Transformation (LIFT) Programme

The Land Investment for Transformation (LIFT) programme, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and implemented in partnership with the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture’s Rural Land Administration and Use Directorate, is one of the world’s largest land tenure programmes.

LIFT takes an all-encompassing approach to securing landholders’ tenure rights by certifying land holdings while also ensuring that future land transactions are recorded and farmers’ land rights maintained. It is achieving this through the installation of a computerised rural land administration system while also catalysing farmers’ investments in their certified land through various market development interventions.

Disseminating LIFT's knowledge

In achieving these results, LIFT has developed a wealth of knowledge through its experiences and the extensive research that has been conducted to inform the programme’s approach and evaluate its impact.

To share this wealth of knowledge and contribute to the work of the Ethiopian land sector and international stakeholders, these resources are now publicly available on LIFT’s Knowledge Hub. We hope that other land tenure programmes and experts within the field will benefit from LIFT’s insights and lessons learned.
