This Regulation provides for land reforms by giving ceilings of ownership, regulating surrendered land and compensation, etc. It consists of 9 Parts divided into 32 paragraphs.Part II provides for the constitution of a Land Commission of the Province and of a Federal Land Commission. Part III deals with restrictions on ownership and possession of land. Limits on individual holdings are outlined in paragraph 8. No person may possess any share in Shamilat if they own or possess the maximum permissible area of land.
This Act provides for cases in which mines or minerals are situated under land to be acquired for public purposes or for Companies under the Land Acquisition Act 1880 replaced by the Land Acquisition Act 1894.
An Act to amend the law for the acquisition of land for public purposes and for Companies.
This Law provides for the acquisition of land needed for public purposes and for Companies, and determines the amount of compensation to be made on account of such acquisition. The Collector of the District may make a preliminary investigation on any land in any locality that may be needed for any public purpose or for a Company. The Commissioner, for land acquired for a public purpose, or the Provincial Government for land acquired for a Company, when satisfied of the result of the investigation, shall publish a notification in the Official Gazette.
An Ordinance to provide for the establishment of a Land Utilization Authority in the Province of the Punjab.
This Ordinance establishes a Land Utilization Authority for the purpose of controlling and managing cultivable land in the Province, and also to motivate land owners to develop their cultivable land by providing credit facilities to them. The Government shall establish the Punjab Land Utilization Authority. Powers and functions of the Authority are outlined in the Ordinance.
An Act to regulate the disposal of land by Development Authorities.
This Act provides for the disposal of land by Development Authorities. Development Authorities shall prepare housing schemes by categorizing land in residential, commercial, industrial and public amenity plots (sect. 3). In the housing schemes, the land shall be disposed of as provided for in section 4. No public utility area or public amenity plot in a housing scheme shall be converted to any other use (sect. 5). Penalty provisions are given in sections 6 and 7.
