Fert est une association française de coopération internationale pour le développement agricole des pays en développement et émergents. Elle a pour objet de contribuer à créer dans ces pays les conditions permettant aux agriculteurs d’améliorer leurs conditions de vie et de travail et de concourir à la sécurité alimentaire de leur pays.

Fert accompagne les agriculteurs dans la création d’organisations (groupements de producteurs, coopératives, caisses de crédit agricole, centres de formation …) leur permettant d’apporter des solutions durables aux problèmes qu’ils rencontrent dans l’exercice de leur métier et la défense de leurs intérêts.

Fert conduit, dans 9 pays, 22 actions de terrain dans lesquelles elle mobilise des responsables et techniciens agricoles dans une démarche de solidaritépour partager leur expérience d’engagement professionnel et de gestion de leurs organisations.

Fert est membre d’AgriCord, alliance internationale fédérant 12 agri-agences de 10 pays : Allemagne, Belgique, Brésil, Canada, Espagne, Finlande, France, Philippines, Sénégal, Suède.

L’Institut de Recherches et d’Applications des Méthodes de développement (Iram) intervient depuis 1957 dans le champ de la coopération internationale. Aujourd’hui, l’Iram est un bureau d'études associatif alliant expertise indépendante de haut niveau et engagement éthique.

Le Journal de la Société des africanistes, devenu Journal des africanistes en 1976, est publié régulièrement depuis 1931, au rythme habituel de deux fascicules par an. On y trouve des articles de spécialistes (ethnologues, archéologues, préhistoriens, linguistes, etc.), des dossiers thématiques, des comptes rendus d’ouvrages et diverses informations scientifiques. Le Journal des africanistes constitue, de ce fait, un instrument de référence précieux pour les chercheurs et les documentalistes.

The Cahiers d’Études africaines, founded in 1960, have ever since favored the publication of previously unpublished articles, original investigations along with confirmed or emerging theoretical contributions.  While encouraging interdisciplinary perspectives, the journal concentrates on anthropological and historical research on Africa and societies linked to Africa throughout the world. The publication of articles in French and English contributes to the international recognition of the journal.

Established in 1988, the African Economic Research Consortium is a capacity building institution to inform economic policies in sub-Saharan Africa. The launch of AERC goes back to the late 1980s, when a small group of Africanists and African scholars began to recognize the disconnect between economic policy making and economic research in sub-Saharan Africa. Available research results, applied to other economies, did not always seem appropriate to the African context. And where such results were available, they were too often not put to use.
