The purpose of this article is to analyze the state of the IT systems specific to different areas of activity in the Republic of Moldova, aiming at informational provision, permanent monitoring and facilitation of the decision-making processes for sustainable development.

Geographical indication (GI) schemes can play a special role in promoting sustainable rural development, improving farm income and opening new export potential. Natural factors such as soil, climate and plant varieties play a major role in producing a unique product. Usually, GIs comprise knowledge and skills passed on from generation to generation, helping to protect local heritage.

How to feed the world without degrading land and water resources, eroding biodiversity and contributing to climate change is among the greatest challenges of our times. This handbook has been prepared for the training workshop on innovative methods of amelioration and use of salt-affected soils, which takes place in Kharkiv, Ukraine, in September 2017. Proceedings of international scientific - methodical conference “Baltic Surveying’17” are periodical edition of scientific articles, issued as online (ISSN 2243-6944) edition. The periodicity of proceedings is one volume per year. Conference was held on the 10 - 12 of May, 2017 at the Latvia University of Agriculture, Jelgava, it was organized by the Department of Land Management and Geodesy.
