This Act vests all public lands and the public use of specified land in the Governor-General and denominates all such lands "Crown lands". Subject to section 6(1) of the National Parks and Protected Areas Act, the Governor-General may grant, sell, exchange or lease any of the Crown Lands, or any right or easement in or over them or any of them, on such conditions and with such reservations as he or she may think reasonable. The Governor-General also may make rules for the management of the Crown Lands, for the sale or letting thereof, for the prevention of squatting and encroachment thereon and of spoil and injury to the woods thereon. The Act also defines the right of the Crown to mines and alluvial deposits of precious metals and minerals on or under any lands in Grenada and relative compensation.
