Valkonen

Consultant and researcher working on land governance, tenure and administration from the angle of tenure security, social vulnerabilities, gender, environmental justice, and politics of land. Over the past years, I have contributed to the development and implementation of the VGGTs with FAO, engaged in a PhD project with a focus on Madagascar, and conducted several consultant missions with international organisations and consultant companies. I am currently working for NIRAS International Consulting, leading a post-doc project in relation to the Sami Homeland in Northern Finland, and acting as the first deputy mayor of a small rural municipality in France.
