Nicaragua is a country located on the isthmus of Central America, bordering Honduras to the north and Costa Rica to the south, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. In 2019, the country had a total population of 6,486,201 inhabitants and a GDP per capita of $5,683. It is one of the poorest countries in the Americas. The agricultural sector has traditionally been the main sustenance for the economy of the country.
