This Act concerns the development of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. “Tenantry” does not include land adjoining the foreshore. The Minister may design tenantries for purposes of this Act, but only if there are not sufficient on the tenantry including water supply and sewage disposal.

This Act contains rules regarding the relationship between landlord and tenant and makes provision with respect to judicial proceedings regarding the relationship between landlord and tenant.The provisions of this Act concern, among other things, payment of rent, distress for the non-payment of arrears of rent including seizure of crops or livestock, fraudulent removal of goods by tenants from

This Act places restrictions on trespass by persons on property.

This Act concerns control by the Minister responsible for the environment of operations in caves declared to be a cave for purposes of this Act by the Minister. The Act also allows compulsorily acquisition by the Crown of any land required by a public company called the Caves of Barbados Ltd. (“Company”) for the development of a cave.

This Act provides for the control of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. Division or sale of a tenantry requires the permission of the Chief Town Planner.

This Act makes provision in relation to the sale of land ordered to be sold by the High Court and related matters such as valuation of land by appointed appraisers. Procedures of sale shall be handled by the Registrar of Titles.

It also provides for supervision by the High Court on administration of an estate by an appointed administrator and rights of creditor of the deceased persons in respect of his or the estate administered under this Act.

This Act establishes the Urban Development Commission as a body corporate, defines its functions and powers and provides with respect to its organization. The Act also establishes the Urban Enterprise Fund and provides for the appointment of the Director of Urban Development.
