This Act concerns the development of tenantries, i.e. an area of land, including public land, subdivided before a specified date into lots for letting for specified purposes. “Tenantry” does not include land adjoining the foreshore. The Minister may design tenantries for purposes of this Act, but only if there are not sufficient on the tenantry including water supply and sewage disposal.

This Act concerns control by the Minister responsible for the environment of operations in caves declared to be a cave for purposes of this Act by the Minister. The Act also allows compulsorily acquisition by the Crown of any land required by a public company called the Caves of Barbados Ltd. (“Company”) for the development of a cave.
