The Southern African Development Community (SADC) was established as a development coordinating conference (SADCC) in 1980 and transformed into a development community in 1992. It is an inter-governmental organisation whose goal is to promote sustainable and equitable economic growth and socio-economic development through efficient productive systems, deeper co-operation and integration, good governance and durable peace and security among fifteen Southern African Member States.

The Environment for Development (EfD) Initiative is a capacity building program in environmental economics focusing on research, policy interaction, and academic programs. The overall objective of EfD is to support poverty alleviation and sustainable development by building environmental economics capacity in policy making processes.

Juta and Company (Pty) Ltd is the oldest publishing house in South Africa and, remarkably, remains true to its founder's intent to service education and legal information requirements. Consequently, for more than 160 years Juta and Company has been associated with quality Law, Education and Academic publishing in southern Africa. 

The group is Africa’s biggest sugar producer and has extensive agricultural and manufacturing operations in six African countries. The South African Cities Network (SACN) is an established network of South African cities and partners that encourages the exchange of information, experience and best practices on urban development and city management. Since 2002 the SACN’s objectives are to:

• Promote good governance and management in South African cities
• Analyse strategic challenges facing South African cities

The Centre for Constitutional Rights (CFCR) operates as a unit of the FW de Klerk Foundation and is headed by a Director, Ms Phephelaphi Dube. The CFCR reports to the Foundation's Board and makes use of the Foundation's administrative infrastructure and offices. The Centre is funded by private, public and corporate donations.

The CFCR is guided by its patron, the Honourable Ian G Farlam, retired Justice of Appeal.

The Knowledge Exchange is a response to an identified need for increased information exchange in the Southern African region. It has been developed as a broad collaboration of partners, with the CSIR acting as the custodian.

Vision: Eastern Cape communities participate in robust redistributive rural economies that fully meet their livelihoods needs.

Mission: Transkei Land Services Organisation advocates for and facilities equal, secured access to land and other natural resources to promote land rights and sustainable livelihoods for resource poor rural communities in the Eastern Cape.

Land and Development Bank of South Africa (LADBSA) is a government-owned development bank in the Republic of South Africa. The bank was established as a development finance institution in 1912 by the Government of South Africa. The main objective of LADBSA is to promote and finance development in the agricultural sector of the economy of the country.

With the establishment of the African Farmers’ Association of South Africa (AFASA) in Boksburg on 11 and 12 April 2011, developing farmers now have a new, powerful voice. The launch of AFASA is the culmination of a yearlong consultation process with developing farmers country-wide to determine their need for an official structure that represents their interests.

The University of Cape Town is a public research university in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 1829 as the South African College, it was granted full university status in 1918, making it the oldest university in South Africa and the oldest university in Sub-Saharan Africa in continuous operation.
