This Code of Forest Harvesting Practices seeks to provide a set of guidelines to forest operators for carrying out sustainable and improved harvesting operations. It applies to all harvesting operations within Liberia’s natural forests. It includes among other things, social environmental and social performance requirements for timber logging and post-harvesting activities.

This Act amends several provisions established for managing Crown land within the territory of New South Wales. Amendments consists in repealing Schedule 1; amending Schedule 2 on legislation referring to reserve trusts (such as: Betting and Racing Act 1998 (No. 114) and Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 (No. 105); Schedule 3 on legislation relating to Crown roads; and Schedule 4 on other related legislation.

As an international actor in addressing food insecurity among refugees and other migrants, the World Food Programme (WFP) has undertaken a research study to determine the role that food security plays in cross-border migration. Given the dearth of data on this topic, the WFP study sought to answer some of the following questions: What is it that compels people to leave their homes? What role does food insecurity play in migration? Are these factors common across all international migrants, or do unique root causes spur specific migrant populations to move from their homes?
Deforestation remains a persistent environmental challenge in Africa. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that between 2010 to 2015 alone, the continent experienced a net loss of around 17 million hectares of forests. La presente Ley declara de interés nacional y necesidad pública la construcción de defensas ribereñas y servidumbres hidráulicas, bajo el enfoque de planificación nacional y de integración del ordenamiento territorial de las cuencas hidrográficas del territorio nacional, teniendo como base los criterios de sostenibilidad, prevención y adaptación al cambio climático; con la finalidad de proteger a los pobladores de las inundaciones y desbordes provocados por la crecida de los ríos.
