Climate change and transboundary risks in African rangelands

This paper aligns current thinking on transboundary climate risk pathways with research on climate risk for pastoralists in African rangelands. Four pathways for transboundary transmission of climate risk were used as a framework for a narrative review of research literature on pastoralism and climate change. Selected cases were presented to highlight conclusions and recommendations. Pastoralism research reflects many aspects of risk management, particularly its relationship to mobility and the development of appropriate non-equilibrium models of pastoralist decision-making.

Gender equality in agrifood systems: Indicator list (GEASIL)

The Gender Equality in Agrifood Systems: Indicator List (GEASIL) is aimed at stakeholders who strive to address gender inequalities in value chains and require effective gender-responsive monitoring systems to track progress and guide decision-making. It is a consolidated list of nearly 400 illustrative indicators, selected and curated from over 1,500 original indicators identified in a scoping review. The list of indicators is not exhaustive and can be used in combination with other searchable indicator databases.

The assessment encompasses their strategies and approaches for behaviour change, actor motivations, theories of change, as well as the successes and failures encountered by these initiatives.
