Myanmar Agricultural Performance Survey Round One: Note on Sample Characteristics and Weighting

The first round of the Myanmar Agricultural Performance Survey (MAPS)–a nationwide phone panel consisting of 3,893 households–was implemented between February 2022 and March 2022. The objective of the survey was to collect data on farm characteristics and agricultural assets, area and crops planted, access to inputs, crop marketing, and constraints in agricultural activities.

To prevent climate change from reaching an irreversible point, policies need to align with global mitigation goals. This thesis examines the coherence between agricultural public policies, greenhouse gas emissions, and the economic value generated by various agricultural value chains. It aims to determine the extent to which policy transfers align with greenhouse gas emissions levels in Colombia. The analysis utilizes secondary data from 1992 to 2018, including information on emissions, agricultural policy transfers, production value, and productivity of key agricultural commodities.

Proceedings of the Inception Stakeholder's Workshop for iFEED-ClimBeR workpackage 3

We organised an inception Workshop in March with the Agriculture Consultative Forum (ACF), and FANRPAN to introduced iFEED to workgroup memebers and identify policy opportunities in Zambia. The outcome of the workshop led to subsequent meetings with the seperate working group mebers on crop diversifciation, irrigation and livestock and landuse change to make inputs into iFEED results and provide directions for avenues to integrate iFEED outputs in specific country policies.

A Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approach is fundamental to agribusiness transformation in the Eastern and Southern Africa region. Work package 5 aims to bring about inclusive and scalable agribusiness innovations through targeted GESI support to UU ESA work packages 1-6. To achieve this, we produced this GESI framework on social, economic, political, and institutional barriers and opportunities to more inclusive agribusiness in the ESA region.

Considerations for Creating the UNFCCC Online Portal for Climate Action in Agriculture & Food Security

A survey was conducted among 52 representatives of the African Group of Negotiators Experts Support. From this survey, the members voted that the UNFCCC online portal on climate action in food security and agriculture should have the following objectives (in the order of the highest number of respondents saying it is an objective) - information sharing, raising awareness of climate action in agriculture, and aiding fundraising.
