These Requirements are designed to facilitate the implementation process of the Systems of conservative agriculture. The System of conservative agriculture is a technology used when growing field plants with complete or partial lack of soil cultivation, provided that the soil surface retains a minimum of 30% of the residues of previous agricultural crops, the agrotechnical measure is aimed at: (a) soil fertility conservation by reducing the process of soil erosion (the fertile soil layer) caused by wind and water; (b) conservation of water in the soil as a result of the movement of water losses from the soil through the process of evaporation. Depending on the treatment (mobilization) of the soil, shall be classified the following systems of conservative agriculture: (a) zero tillage (No-till); (b) minimum tillage (Mini-till); and (c) soil cultivation by strips (Strip-till). When carrying out agricultural work, agricultural machinery and equipment for which specific requirements are listed in the framework of the Conservative Agriculture System according to the table in Annex shall be used.
