Regulation on the National Land-Use Planning Council establishes the legal status, composition, powers and the functioning thereof. The Council has the following objectives: (a) coordinate the activities of central and local authorities for development of town planning documentation and landscaping; (b) ensuring transparency in the use of allocated funds. The Council performs the following tasks: (a) providing inter-industry cooperation in the development of documentation on arrangement of the territory; (b) monitoring the use of funds allocated for the development of a plan for the development of national territory and development plans for regional territories. The Council performs the following duties: (a) to develop and approve a set of measures for the development of the national territory and regional development plans; (b) draw up minutes of the Council meetings and keep records of them; (c) provide information and reports to the Government, upon request; and (d) perform other duties arising from the objectives of its activities.
