The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

El presente Decreto Ley crea la Comisión Nacional de Revisión de Confiscaciones, integrada por el Procurador General de Justicia y por cuatro personas designadas directamente por el Presidente de la República entre personas de reconocida honestidad, integridad y solvencia moral, con la facultad para proceder a la revisión de todas las confiscaciones ejecutadas por el gobierno anterior bajo las leyes y decretos confiscatorios, expropiatorios o de reforma agraria y los que de una u otra forma privaron de sus bienes, derechos y acciones a personas naturales o jurídicas.
Law No. 34/2014 on the second amendment of Law No. 54/2005 establishing the title ownership of water resources.
This Law establishes the second amendment of Law No. 54/2005 regulating the title ownership of water resources. Amendments deal with the updating of its provisions concerning the requirements and dead lines necessary for obtaining the title recognition of internal land, borders of river or coastal areas related to marine or any other navigable water courses, with their respective beds, and even the banks belonging to public entities.

Regional Law No. 604-PK “On the modalities of calculation of lease payment, modalities and terms of payment of thereof for lease of land plots of public land”.
This Regional Law establishes the modalities of calculation of lease, modalities and terms of payment of thereof for lease of land plots of public land set forth for different categories of public land. Lease payment shall be calculated in accordance with regional cadastre indices set forth for different categories of public land.

Regional Law No. 1080-220 “On turnover of agricultural land”.
This Regional Law regulates relations concerning ownership, tenure and disposal of plots agricultural land and also land share in common property. It also establishes that minimum agricultural land plot allotted to legal persons shall be 0,25 ha, while maximum agricultural land plot that can be allotted to natural and legal persons shall not exceed 50 percent of total agricultural land available within the boundaries of a single municipal unit. Regional administration shall have preferential terms for purchase of agricultural land in case of public sale thereof.
