The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Order designates offices as proper offices for the receipt of for the receipt of specified descriptions of applications under the Land Registration Act 2002 by registrar. This Order applies to any application to the registrar except an application delivered to the registrar: (a) in accordance with a written arrangement as to delivery made between the registrar and the applicant or between the registrar and the applicant’s conveyancer; or (b) under the provision of any relevant notice given under Schedule 2 to the Land Registration Rules 2003.
Ordinance implementing the Land Consolidation Act.
The present Ordinance implements various articles of the Federal Land Consolidation Act in its consolidated version of 16 March 1976 (BGBl. I p. 546). Ordinance on competence in the field of agricultural administration.
Article 1 of the present Ordinance establishes that the Economy, Traffic and Innovation Offices shall be responsible for the efficient implementation of all matters dealing with agricultural promotion measures and coastal protection under Union, federal and Länder legislation. Law on exemption of authorization in dealing with agricultural and forestry land.
The present Law implements the Federal Land Parcel Act (BGBl. I p. 1091) of 28 July 1961. Article 1 establishes that the sale of land up to a size of 0.25 hectare does not require any authorization according to the aforementioned Federal Act. The text consists of 2 articles.

Law on Land Management Commission.
The present Law establishes a Land Management Commission which shall deal with matters concerning the sale of real property, granting of compensation and credit support in land transactions, acquisition of parcels of land, expropriation proceedings, land consolidation and the setting up of land contracts.
