The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Regulation on the implementation of forest cadastre of 2/B areas.
This Regulation sets forth the rules and procedures for the cadastre of 2/B areas which are lands declassified from forest areas according to Clause (B) of the first paragraph of Article. 2 of the Forest Law No. 6831. The Regulation also sets forth the rules and procedures for the cadastre of the new areas classified as forests .

Ley Nº 5.695 – Exención del impuesto inmobiliario a la propiedad comunitaria de las comunidades aborígenes. Modificación del Código Fiscal.
La presente Ley prevé la exención del impuesto inmobiliario a la propiedad comunitaria que haya sido transferida del Estado provincial a las comunidades aborígenes.
Regional Law No. 2174-OD amending Regional Law No. 809-OD “On allotment of public and municipal land to citizens free of charge”.
Article 1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “The right to allotment on condition of ownership of public and municipal land free of charge for gardening, horticulture and suburban housing construction shall be granted to multi-child families, foster families growing three and more children (adopted and natural children) residing on the regional territory”.

Regional Law No. 2167-OD amending Regional Law No. 855-OD “On turnover of agricultural land”.
Article 8 shall be amended to add the following wording: “In case of transfer of ownership to a land share to other person insertion of modification into land lease contract shall not be requested”.
