The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Regulation aims to protect cultivated land resources and improve the quality thereof. The Regulation consists of 26 articles. The competent agriculture authorities at or above the county level shall be in charge of the protection of arable land, whose main responsibilities are prescribed in article 5. Any unit and individual shall have the obligation to protect the quality of cultivated land. The Regulation further provide for: measures to be taken for supervision and inspection; legal responsibility; etc.

This Decision approves the master plan on socio-economic development of Bac Giang province through 2020, with a vision toward 2030 with the following principal contents: The master plan must be in line with the national socio-economic development strategy for the 2011-2020 period, the master plan on socio-economic development in the northern midland and mountainous regions and the master plan on the capital region, and compatible with sectoral master plans.
