The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Mediante el presente Decreto se crea el Fondo de Asentamientos Humanos y se establece su entidad ejecutora. El Fondo está finalizado a financiar la ejecución de Programas de Asentamientos Humanos en lo referido a: a) identificación, organización y traslado de los beneficiarios; b) provisión de infraestructura provisional para el establecimiento de las familias beneficiarias; c) la implementación de servicios básicos en los núcleos de aposentamiento; d) la provisión y producción de alimentos para el autoconsumo en los primeros meses del aposentamiento.

This Regulation determines the correct manner and way for conducting inventory and field studies on soils damaged by erosion, acidification, siltation, compacting and reducing of soil organic matter.The Regulation further sets the necessary related restorative measures (soil functions), as well as the maintenance and execution of such activities, that are performed in order to establish the areas with potential and actual risks of soil damage.These survey and additional studies will be carried out by and at the expense of the budget of the Executive Agency for Soil Resources of the Republic
