The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Le présent décret définit les modalités de création et de délimitation des délégations communales et de fixer les règles d’organisation et de fonctionnement des délégations et des antennes communales, en application des dispositions des articles 133 et 136 de la loi n° 11-10 du 20 Rajab 1432 correspondant au 22 juin 2011, relative à la commune, notamment ses articles 133 à 138.Par ailleurs, il fixe les règles d’organisation et de fonctionnement de ces entités territoriales (délégations communales et antennes communales).
Regulation on land allocation for renewable energy sources.
This Regulation aims at efficient use of renewable energy sources (i) by allocation of public and private lands to investors for large scale renewable energy sources, (ii) by producing high technology equipment used in electricity generation from renewable energy sources, and (iii) by contributing to the procurement of technology transfer.
Regulation of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of R.I. No. P.81/MENLHK/SETJEN/KUM.1/10/2016 on Cooperation of Use of Forest Zones for Supporting Food Security.
This Regulation, consisting of 19 articles divided into four Chapters, regulates the Cooperation of Use of Forest Zones for Supporting Food Security. Purpose and objectives of this Regulation are: promoting cooperation in the use of forest areas to support food security as a reference for cooperating in the implementation of food crops and livestock development efforts to ensure the achievement of national food production, by applying the principles of good forestry governance.
Land Authority Act of 2016.
This Act adds a new Chapter to the Liberian Code to create the Liberian Land Authority. The Authority shall be a body corporate and shall be governed by a Commission. The primary mandate of the Authority is to develop policies on a continuous basis, undertake actions and implement programs for land governance.
Ordinance amending the Soil Improvement Ordinance.
The present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Soil Improvement Ordinance of 29 September 2009. In particular, the Ordinance amends article 3 establishing that a site-fixed facility for the abstraction of irrigation water from surface waters or ground water is considered to be eligible for funding within the meaning of this Ordinance, provided that a concession pursuant to the Water Rights Act is available.
