Doing Business sheds light on how easy or difficult it is for a local entrepreneur to open and run a small to medium-size business when complying with relevant regulations. It measures and tracks changes in regulations affecting 10 areas in the life cycle of a business: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and resolving insolvency.

Een van de knelpunten in de biologische landbouw is de continuïteit van de gronden die nu in gebruik zijn. De biologische ondernemers zitten verspreid over het gehele land. Dit betekent een versnippering van areaal. Dit onderzoek tracht inzicht te krijgen op de kansen van alternatieve en duurzame grondconstructies voor de biologische landbouw. Hiertoe is het gesprek aangegaan met landelijke en lokale (pilot gebied Bio Valley Harenkarspel) partijen met grondposities.

Presentamos a los lectores el "Atlas sobre la tenencia de la tierra en el Ecuador", el cual constituye una colección de mapas que dan cuenta de la tenencia de la tierra en Ecuador: quienes tienen acceso a la tierra, en que magnitud, cuáles son los tipos de cultivos, y en qué cantones y provincias se encuentran.


Estos mapas se han cosntruido en base al procesamiento de los datos que presentya el III Censo Nacional Agropecuario del año 2000, la última base de información oficial referida al tema que estudiamos (el próximo censo se realizaría probablemente en el año 2015).

While there is no right to land codified in international human rights law, the Convention for the Elimination of All forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), provides for women’s right to own and inherit property without discrimination on the basis of sex. Afghanistan ratified CEDAW in 2003, without reservations. CEDAW (Article 14) also calls for rural women to have equal access to economic opportunities, to credit and loans, social security programs, and to adequate living conditions, including access to housing.

This work was initiated by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Committee on Housing and Land Management in the early 1990s in response to requests from UNECE member States.
