Le partenariat de la République Démocratique de Sao Tomé-et-Principe avec la FAO remonte à 1975.

México es uno de los miembros fundadores de la FAO y, durante 70 años, la asistencia de la Organización ha contribuido a mejorar la seguridad alimentaria de las comunidades rurales más pobres del país. Actualmente el Gobierno se dedica a impulsar una Cruzada Nacional Contra el Hambre y a la disminución de la pobreza extrema.
