This Act consists of 4 Parts: Preliminary (I); Sale by Auction (II); Service of Notices (III); General (IV). It also contains 5 Schedules.This Act sets out procedures for the collectionn of landrevenue. The Collector can auction for sale land whose rent has not been paid, after having notified its owner of the procedure.

The Act has been amended as per the deletion and substitution of paragraph 1 and the insertion of a new paragraph 1A; paragraph 2, 3 and 4 underwent minor changes in terms of substitution of sentences and some additions. Any application made or pending and any order or decision of and any right of appeal of a Strata Titles Board prior to 1st May 2004 shall not be affected.

This Chapter concerns the determination of title or other legal interest in land in the State of Kosrae and the registration of such title or interest.For purposes of this Chapter, a land Court is established The Court shall succeed to all responsibilities, registers, properties and assets of the Land Commission. It may make orders and decisions regarding the determination of interests and registration of land, including the subdivision of any interest or rights in land and the determination of any claim of heirship to a deceased person's title or interest in lands.

This Chapter makes provision for the survey and registration of land in the Trust Territory and provides that for this purpose there shall be a land commission in each administrative district of the Trust Territory. Each commission shall supervise surveys and proceed with the registration of as much of the land as practical within such registration areas within its district as it determines and may determine the ownership of any land in its district. Each commission shall appoint land registration teams and designate registration areas.

This Chapter establishes procedures to be followed by the Government of the Trust Territory in the exercise of its power to acquire real property by eminent domain, i.e. to condemn property for public use or purposes and to appropriate the ownership and possession of such property for such public use upon paying the owner a just compensation to be ascertained according to the law.The Act concerns, among other things, proceedings at the High Court, the establishment of value of land by the High Court and determination of ownership in the event of dispute.

This Chapter concerns the procedures for the application for a permit “to excavate, fill or borrow” tidelands, defines traditional and customary rights of the people of the Chuuk State in respect of tidelands and the granting of (ownership) rights in respect of such land by the State to people of Chuuk. Tidelands within the meaning of the Chuuk Constitution are those marine lands from the shore to the face of the reef that are shallow enough for traditional fishing activity by women.

Regional Law No. 79-OZ on turnover of agricultural land.

The present Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of turnover of the plots of agricultural land and shares in common property on the plots of agricultural land. Minimum area of the newly formed parcels of agricultural land except for artificially irrigated and (or) drained land shall be of 0, 5 hectares (art. 1). The terms and conditions of privatization of agricultural land shall be established by the regional legislation (art. 2).

This Act regulates the acquisition of the right to own or use real property in Iceland. It provides for the control of State organs of the purchase of titles in real property by foreigners. No one may acquire the right to own or use real property in Iceland, including fishing and hunting rights, water rights or other real property rights, whether by free assignation or enforcement measures, marriage, inheritance or deed of transfer, unless it is an individual who is domiciled in Iceland or is an Icelandic citizen.
