Small-ruminant production contributes significantly to the national and household economy in many countries. Small-ruminants are a key component of the livelihood systems in rural Ethiopia which substantially contribute to income, food, skin and wool, manure, serve as part of the crop failure risk-coping portfolio of enterprises, for asset wealth security as a form of saving money and social and cultural functions. This study analyzes hedonic price analysis of indigenous sheep and goats traits in two districts (Atsbi-Wemberta and Adwa) of eastern and central Tigray, northern Ethiopia.

This study evaluated the effects of holistic grazing management (HGM) on biomass production and soil properties under holistic and non-holistic grazing sites. The study was conducted in two Group Ranches namely, Koija and Il Motiok in Naibunga Conservancy, Laikipia County, Kenya. Vegetation attributes and soil parameters were determined in four plots randomly sited and established within the Il Motiok Ranch, which is under HGM, and in the same number of plots sited and established in Koija Ranch which is under free-range grazing system.

En esta tesis nos ocuparemos de abordar la espacialidad construida en relación con la dinámica del pastoreo extensivo de rebaños mixtos de llamas, cabras y ovejas en las tierras altas de los Andes Meridionales, a partir del caso de Susques, una localidad ubicada en la Puna de Atacama, dentro de la provincia de Jujuy.
