The Austrian Federal Government (German: Österreichische Bundesregierung) is a collective body that exercises executive power in the Republic of Austria. It is composed of the Chancellor, who is leader of the government, the Vice-Chancellor, and senior ministers. The President and the Government together form the executive branch of Austria.

The underlying principle of the present Law is that regional interests prevail over local interests. The purpose of the Act is the economic and expedient use of the soil; the protection and care of the environment and, in particular the conservation or reinstatement of the sustainable purity of the air, water and soil, as well as the avoidance of noise; the conservation or reinstatement of a healthy nature, the protection of the indigenous fauna and flora and their natural living spaces, of the cultural heritage and, finally, in particular that of housing and recreational areas.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the right of use relating to forests and pastures. The text consists of 53 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); New regulations and regulations (II); Transfer of rights of use, prerequisites and modes of transfer (III); Safeguard of rights of use, afforestation and other use of pasture ground (IV); Raw wood compensation in case of damage (V); Provisions relating to authorities and proceedings (VI).

Ordinance by the regional government of Styria on a programme concerning the flood security of agglomeration areas.

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to a programme for the safety measures of human agglomerates in case of floods. In particular, the aim of the above-mentioned programme is the minimalization of damages done by flooding, occurring usually every 100 years, by way of land use planning measures. The text consists of 6 articles and 1 Annex.

In order to avoid harmful effects on human beings, animals and plants the aims of the said Act are as follows: the conservation and protection of soils and its functions, the improvement and restoration of the functions of soils and the prevention of soil erosion and soil compaction in general.
