The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Expropriation Law for the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
The present Law lays down provisions relating to expropriation proceedings. In particular, the Law applies to all expropriation, take-over and related compensation proceedings in the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in so far as Federal or regional law is not applicable. This document gives guidance on the implementation of Fingerplan 2013 land's planning directive for the metropolitan area planning. The National Planning Directive aims to ensure that future Finger Plans by providing a forward-looking common basis for the 34 metropolitan municipalities planning. Finger Plan 2013 builds on and is a revision of the Finger Plan 2007. Finger Plan 2013 replaces the rules of the Finger Plan 2007.
