The present Code of practice provides for the beneficial use of specified industrial by-products on land. Moreover, the Code provides consistent requirements across the province and protects the quality of soil as well as the surface and groundwater on sites where the by-products are applied. As of September 1, 2007 a discharger must complete and submit a notification form at least 30 days prior to a proposed soil amendment application greater than 5m3.

The present Regulation enacts section 385 of the Land Title Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to the registration of land titles and the payment of fees thereof.
