Sudha Menon is a senior research and documentation consultant with more than 16 years of proven track record and expertise in development research with special emphasis on gender, labor rights, supply chain analysis, agrarian crisis, food security, SDGs, women empowerment and poverty eradication strategies. Formally trained in Political Science and Public Policy, Sudha has shown exceptional interest and skill in transcending boundaries- of nations, subjects, sectors, and themes. She has worked with international development organizations, academic institutions, and reputed consultancy firms across the world. As a trained qualitative and quantitative researcher, she has independently coordinated many multi-country/ multi-stakeholder research studies funded by FAO, UNDP, ADB, FNV Netherlands, Bhutan Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, ITUC, Profundo, Fairtrade International, DFID, WIEGO, Home Net South Asia and SEWA. As a researcher and documentation consultant, Sudha has traveled across the South Asian region and conducted Focus Group Discussions in remote villages of Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. An expert in the issues of informal sector women workers and home-based workers in the South Asian region, Sudha has published several research papers, reports, articles, policy briefs, supply-chain analysis studies etc. Sudha also played an instrumental role in building and mentoring Citizens Right Watch, an international NGO based in London. Since inception, she serves as the member of the Trust Council in Citizens Right Watch.
