Gordon Crawford is Research Professor in Global Development at the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University (UK). He is also Honorary Professor at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and was Co-Director (until January 2021) of the Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) at the University of Ghana. He is co-editor of the Elgar Research Handbook on Democracy and Development (2021), and has published many journal articles and book chapters in the areas of human rights, democracy and development.
