Journalism for social change has been a thread through my educational and professional lives, a tool that has proven useful for accentuating issues like child protection, environmental action, humanitarian assistance, social anthropology and other types of work I have been engaged in for over 40 years. I write fiction and non-fiction, always within the scope of these subjects, and edit scholarly and public information publications. I lived in the country of Georgia for almost 30 years and worked intensively there and in Switzerland to create or develop organizations with missions for positive social change. I am a triple national, born in the US; I also have Swiss and Georgian nationalities. I have worked or lived in the Caucasus, Africa, Europe and North America, as well as South America.
