This Law regulates the lease relations, establishing the objects and subjects of lease relations, their rights and obligations. The following can be leased: land and other natural resources, enterprises, organizations, units of enterprises and organizations, buildings, installations, premises, agricultural and other machinery, transportation means, inventory, instruments, other material goods. The lease agreement for land and other natural resources upon parties consent may contain: a). characteristics of the natural environment, land and other natural resources; b).

This Law is an integral part of urban construction and environmental legislation of the city of Moscow and establishes the modalities of planning, regulation and carrying out urban construction activity on the territories of natural complex of the city of Moscow. The document consists of 13 Articles. Article 1 introduces the principal concepts. Article 2 establishes the legal basis for the regulation of urban construction activity on the territories of natural complex. Article 3 regards land use planning for the territories of natural complex.

Soil and Groundwater Pollution Remediation Act.

This Act is enacted to prevent soil and groundwater pollution, to ensure sustainable use of the land and groundwater resources, to improve the living environment, and to enhance public health. It consists of 8 Chapters divided into 51 articles. Article 2 gives definitions of the terms used in this Act, e.g. soil pollution, groundwater pollution, pollutants, polluter, soil pollution monitoring standards, etc. The Act establishes the prevention and redemption measures in Chapter two, the investigation and assessment measures in Chapter three, and the control measures in Chapter 4.

Aim of this law is the enactment of fundamental principles, the establishment of modern governing bodies, processes and means for land and spatial planning in order to promote sustainable development, guarantee productive and social cohesion, ensure the protection of the environment in the totality of the national territory and reinforce the position of the country in the international and European framework. The six chapters and 29 articles composing this law, set forth the characteristics that National Frameworks of Spatial Planning, general and thematic, must comply with.

This Law regulates the use, management and protection of natural resources in the interest of ecological safety and economic development. It is composed of ten chapters and four annexes. After defining and classifying natural resources (renewable, non-renewable, national, local, reserved and protected, curative, i.e. used for prevention and treatment of illnesses) (chaps. 1 and 2).

This Decree-Law is composed of 44 articles and three annexes divided in six Chapters. It regulates prevention and control measures against the pollution caused by certain activities, with the aim of reducing their impact over air, water, noise and soil. The list of activities is provided in the annexes, as well as the maximum emission values allowed. It requires environmental impact assessment and regular inspections over hazardous substances and illicit marine pollution. Particular attention is paid to environmental licensing.

A law that regulates land-use planning and rational exploitation of land. Land is property of the Government of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, its exploitation is allowed only under concession or authorization granted by the Government. Agricultural land exploitation areas shall not exceed 300 hectars, but the Council of Ministers may authorize land-use concessions to cooperatives and national or foreign companies for areas not exceeding 1500 hectars.

This Decree-Law consists of 5 articles establishing the conditions under which a very urgent procedure of land expropriation is allowed for turistic purposes within the District of Praia. It also includes coastal zone infrastructures' expropriation for touristic development. It concerns as well the financial compensations to be paid to landowners according to Act No. 54/98 of 29 June 1998.

This Act, which is composed of 124 articles, regulates the use of agricultural land, their protection, marketing and leasing, agricultural operations and common pastures. Provisions of this Act apply mutatis mutandis to forests, unless otherwise provided by law. For these provisions agricultural land means land that is suitable for agricultural production, other than building land and water and land for other purposes. The agricultural land includes all land abandoned, not designated as forest under the Forest Act.

Act No. 7.661 establishing National Planning for Coastal Zone Management.

This Act establishes National Planning for Coastal Zone Management. It consists of 13 articles laying down competencies and duties of the aforementioned national administration. It also lists sanctions to be paid by offenders in case of environmental areas pollution, according to article 14 of Act No. 6.938.

Land Conservation and Improvement Act (No. 10 of 1992).

This Act provides for the conservation of land in St. Lucia, for the establishment of a Board to be known as the Land Conservation Board, for conferring on that Board functions as to land, and for purposes connected therewith or incidental thereto. Land is defined as including land covered by water and in fact this Act contains provisions on drainage works.
