This Act provides for the urban and not only land development in Singapore, the responsibilities of the land tenants and owners, the planning of construction, restoration or building activtities, the imposition of land fees for the further use and exploitation of land in the territory of Singapore.

This Act provides for the establishment of Municipal corporations as legal entities with powers to forge partnerships between the Municipal Corporation, residents, businesses and industries for the effective development and governance of Bhutan's urban communities. The Act consists of 9 Parts divided into 126 sections, and of 1 Schedule.In particular, Part III deals with specific functions of the Municipal Corporation including land budgeting, drinking water supply, drainage and sewerage, land development schemes, cadastral surveys, land subdivision, etc. (sect. 49).

A law that regulates land-use planning and rational exploitation of land. Land is property of the Government of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, its exploitation is allowed only under concession or authorization granted by the Government. Agricultural land exploitation areas shall not exceed 300 hectars, but the Council of Ministers may authorize land-use concessions to cooperatives and national or foreign companies for areas not exceeding 1500 hectars.

This Act, which is composed of 124 articles, regulates the use of agricultural land, their protection, marketing and leasing, agricultural operations and common pastures. Provisions of this Act apply mutatis mutandis to forests, unless otherwise provided by law. For these provisions agricultural land means land that is suitable for agricultural production, other than building land and water and land for other purposes. The agricultural land includes all land abandoned, not designated as forest under the Forest Act.

This Royal Decree is composed of 5 articles. Existing and future pipelines are to be surrounded by an inviolable buffer zone 20 metres wide measured from the centre of the pipe. The Ministry of Oil and Gas is to define these inviolable rights of way in coordination with the Supreme Council for Town planning (art. 1). Public service projects are to respect these rights of way. No activities are permitted within these rights of way, be they on the ground, above ground or underground.

The present Law implements the Federal Act on the acquisition of land by persons abroad of 16 December 1983. Article 6 establishes that the acquisition of land shall be authorized if this serves as principal residence. The President, for the purpose of ensuring turnover of the plots of land situated on the territory of urban and rural settlements and till the adoption of the respective federal law, decrees to establish that the plots of land situated on the territory of urban and rural settlements, destined in accordance with land use planning documentation for construction, or the right of lease of the aforementioned plots of land must be sold to natural and legal persons through tenders if otherwise is not envisaged by the legislation of the Russian Federation.

The Law highlights agriculture as one of the major pillars of national economy because it ensures the supply of food to the population and the production of raw materials to be destined to industrial and commercial utilization.

This Act is dedicated to land use planning, which include, among others: determining the limits of land use, determining the necessary intervention for sanitation, reconstruction or cultivation purposes, assessing and evaluating the technical effects of land management and use, proposing the use of land resources for the most effective development of land.
