Dans le Sud du Bénin, le lotissement, une des formes d’aménagement les plus utilisées actuellement, se multiplie jusqu’à atteindre de plus en plus les zones rurales. A cet effet, il impacte sur les activités agricoles et exerce une influence considérable sur le changement de la dynamique d’occupation du sol au détriment notamment des usages agricoles et de leur fonction de ressources alimentaires et paysagères.

Chaque année, ce rapport de la FAO, le plus consulté, présente le nombre de personnes sous-alimentées dans le monde et préconise des stratégies pour combattre la faim et la malnutrition. Suite à la publication du rapport mondial, de nombreuses statistiques sont désagrégées en rapport régionaux. Le rapport est préparé conjointement avec d’autres agences des Nations Unies, à savoir le FIDA, l’OMS, le PAM et l’UNICEF.

La production halieutique et aquacole mondiale a atteint un niveau sans précédent, la production d’animaux aquatiques issue de l’aquaculture dépassant pour la première fois celle de la pêche de capture, selon un nouveau rapport de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO) publié aujourd’hui.
