Guide to determine if monitoring is actually a viable activity that can be undertaken by their organisation. Choosing to undertake monitoring is dependent on considerations such as evaluating the sufficiency of resources, capacity to design a sound monitoring system, and availability of political windows to effect change, amongst others.

This platform provides an introduction to the concepts surrounding community monitoring, based on the "Contracting Roadmap" developed by the World Bank Institute. It is appropriate for civil society organisations who are exploring whether they can monitor procurements, butit also applies to any entity interested in contract and project monitoring. In 2011 is de Uitvoeringovereenkomst WOT Natuur & Milieu vernieuwd. Hierin zijn de voorwaarden vastgelegd, die het Ministerie van Economische zaken en de stichting DLO medio 2011 zijn overeengekomen voor de uitvoering van deze wettelijke onderzoekstaken tot en met 2016. Dit werkdocument bevat de jaarresultaten van het WOT thema WOT-04-009 (Natuur, Landschap en Platteland). Voor elk project binnen dit thema zijn de administratieve gegevens te vinden en wordt een beknopte inhoudelijke beschrijving gegeven van het doel en het behaalde resultaat.

De snelle veranderingen die zich in Nederland voordoen met betrekking tot het gebruik van ruimte en de conflicterende belangen van veel gebruikers van deze ruimte, zorgen voor een voortdurende behoefte aan actuele geografische bestanden. Eén van deze bestanden is het Landelijke Grondgebruiksbestand Nederland (LGN). Sinds 1986 wordt met een periodiciteit van 3-5 jaar het LGN-bestand geproduceerd. Het LGN6-bestand is een rasterbestand met een resolutie van 25*25 m. Het bestand geeft het Nederlandse landgebruik voor de jaren 2007/2008 weer.

Dit boekje wil bouwstenen aanreiken voor het proces dat herstel van de Vecht naar een halfnatuurlijke laaglandrivier beoogt. In combinatie vormen deze bouwstenen een samenhangend beeld van de Vecht, dat op lange termijn (over enkele decennia) gerealiseerd zou kunnen worden. The Land Matrix is an independent land monitoring initiative that promotes transparency and accountability around large-scale land acquisitions (LSLAs) in low- and middle-income countries across the world. By capturing data on its website, the initiative aims to stimulate debate on the trends and impacts of LSLAs, facilitate wide participation in collecting and sharing data about these deals, and contribute to the growing movement towards open data.

Het beleid voor het platteland staat in de Agenda Vitaal Platteland. Deze studie beschrijft het opzetten van een monitoringsystematiek voor een afrekenbaar plattelandsbeleid. Of het beleid en de monitoring goed ‘gelukt’ zijn, is pas goed te bespreken bij de eindevaluatie in 2014. De studie beschrijft de stappen die gemaakt zijn in het proces. Monitoring land use with geographical databases is widely used in decision-making. This report presents the possibilities, methods and adapted techniques using geo-information in monitoring land use changes. The municipality of Soest was chosen as study area and three national land use databases, viz. Top10Vector, CBS land use statistics and LGN, were used. The restrictions of geo-information for monitoring land use changes are indicated. New methods and adapted techniques improve the monitoring result considerably.
