This Decree allows the County Agricultural Councils to delegate matters relating to redistribution of land up to a certain size and the preparation of land regulation plans pursuant to sections of the Land Reform Act to the County Agricultural Chief or the Forestry Chief and allows the Agricultural Boards to delegate those matters to agronomists or forester of a certain rank.

"Forest for domestic use" is a forest owned in common property and which serves to satisfy the needs of supply of wood for domestic purposes of the owners. "Use for domestic purposes" seems to include use of timber for carpentry and construction of houses. Such forest shall be managed by a board of members in accordance with rules laid down by the present Act.

The Regulation sets rules on land consolidation and applies to the registration of public infrastructures. The necessary geodata and related geospatial services includes mineral resources, oceans, habitats etc.

This Act provides rules relative development and to town and country planning in Norway.

Permits shall be obtained in accordance with a procedural scheme adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture. However acquisition of land for certain (agricultural) purposes is exempted from such requirement. If such is the case the acquirer shall submit a self declaration drawn up in accordance with a scheme adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Bouvet Island, Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land (45 ° east - 20 ° west latitudes) is subject to Norwegian sovereignty as dependency land. Norwegian civil and penal laws together on the administration of justice apply to Bouvet Island, Peter I Island and Queen Maud Land. The King may issue regulations on environmental protection on Bouvet Island, Peter I's Island and Queen Maud Land (art. 2).

Høgfjells in North Gudbrandsdal is an area allocated for lamb seasonal grazing. Lamb production from there encompasses municipalities of Dovre, Lesja, Lom, Oppland, Skjåk and Lom. A significant portion of this grazing area should be higher than 800 m. within said geographical landmark.

This Act regulates the sale and acquisition of real property through concessions, and in particular land used for agricultural purposes, so as to safeguard effective use of such property, to protect the production capacity, and to regulate ownership for the benefit of public good.

This Decree of the Ministry of Environment formulates rules relative to the collection, use and storage of animal manure. These rules aim at preventing pollution of soil, air, and surface water and groundwater and at enhancing plant production. Section 5 contains standards for the spreading of manure based on GDE which is an animal manure unit.

The Act partly amends Act No. 3, in particular the Title which is now reading: "Act No. 3 of 27 February 1930 relating to Bouvet Island, Peter I's Island and Queen Maud Land"; article 7 remains unchanged.
