   This Federal Law introduces the notion of joint ownership that includes the ownership of the plot of land, on which the edifice is situated, within the boundaries delimited by law. The joint owners are obliged to treat with care the plots of land on which the edifice is situated. The joint ownership extends to the adjoining plots of land within the boundaries delimited by law with the greenery growing on them.

   Section 105 is amended with respect to surrender of sublease by a memorandum as set out in the new Schedule XVIIA. Section 109A (new) provides for discharge of land or sublease from further liability, whereas section 114 concerns vesting of land in trustees. The new section 171C confers power upon the Minister to compound any offence under this Ordinance or rules made thereunder, by making an offer to the offending person to compound the offence upon payment.

   An Act to provide for various matter relative to the purchase of land from the Land Commission in accordance with the Land Act, 1923, including financial matter, appeal against decisions, etc. The Minister for Finance may make rules and regulations for carrying into effect the provisions of this Act relating to land purchase finance, and may by such rules or regulations adapt to the requirements of this Act any provisions relating to land purchase finance contained in any Act passed before this Act (sect. 3).

   Section 15 of the Land Act, 1950 is hereby amended by the substitution of "the age of sixty-seven years" for "the age of sixty-five years". Section 15 provides for the age at which Lay Commissioners of the Appeals Tribunal to whom that section refers are to cease to hold office.

   This Law amends the principal Law by specifying anew all cases in which no land right transfer tax is due, all subjects that are exempt from the same tax, the rates of land right transfer tax, and the method of payment. Tax rates are specified for land used for agriculture, forestry, and aquaculture. Article 14 concerns also the transfer of land use rights for agricultural of forestry production to specified subjects and exchange of land.
