The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Act, governing forestry contains, after amendments made to it, virtually all statute law relating to forestry in the Great Britain. The provisions of the Act concentrate almost exclusively on forestry administration and related matters and the powers of an authority here continued, the Forestry Commissioners, to control felling. The Commissioners, established by the 1919 Forestry Act, are charged with the general duty of promoting the interests of Forestry, with the development of afforestation and the production and supply of timber and other forest products in Great Britain (sect.

La Société d'aménagement foncier et d'établissement rural de la Réunion, agréée par arrêté interministériel du 17 mars 1966, est autorisée, pour une nouvelle période de cinq années prenant effet le 23 mars 2000 à l'expiration de l'autorisation accordée par le décret du 27 janvier 1995, à exercer le droit de préemption dans le département de la Réunion, à l'exclusion : des zones urbaines telles que ces zones sont inscrites aux documents d'urbanisme rendus publics ; - des zones d'aménagement différé ainsi que des zones d'aménagement concerté.

Décret nº 2-98-14 modifiant et complétant le décret nº 2-62-240 portant application du dahir relatif au remembrement rural.

Forests Act (No. 3 of 1999).
The declared (sect. 3) objects of the Act are: ensuring effective and ecologically sustainable management of forest resources; promotion of a sustainable commercial timber industry, and; protection and conservation of forest resources, habitats and ecosystems including the maintenance of ecological processes and genetic diversity. The administration of matters affecting forests is entrusted to Commissioner of Forests appointed under section 6 and the Minister who shall be advised by the Solomon Forestry Board established under section 5.
